Directions from town
We’re at Kurakkanni, Borniyamukku, in the north-west of Varkala — about 3.3 km from the town centre, roughly an eight-minute drive or a short auto-rickshaw ride. If you’re staying on the cliff you’re closer still, around five minutes away, and any driver will know Kurakkanni. Arriving by train, the station is about seven minutes by road; from Trivandrum airport it’s a straightforward run of roughly an hour and twenty minutes. We’ll tell you if it shouldn’t be rushed. Some treatment needs healing time or follow-up visits, and not everything belongs in a two-week holiday. Can I plan dental treatment around a holiday in Varkala?

How much of my holiday will I actually spend at the dentist?
Less than most people expect. Digital scans, metal-free crowns and single-sitting root canals mean a lot of treatment is completed in fewer visits. We schedule around your plans and tell you the number of appointments upfront.
What if my treatment shouldn’t be rushed into two weeks?
We’ll say so. Some treatment needs healing time or follow-up visits, and we would rather tell you honestly what belongs on a future trip or with your dentist at home than start something we can’t finish properly.
I’m in Varkala right now with toothache — how fast can you see me?

Will I get records for my dentist at home?
Yes, and you get them whether or not you finish your treatment with us. A written treatment summary plus any X-rays we took, so your own dentist can pick up exactly where we left off instead of starting the diagnosis again.
Can you send things on to me after I fly home?
Yes. Aligner trays, retainers, night guards and similar appliances can be posted on to you once you are back home, so treatment that runs past your trip does not stall at the airport. Tell us where you will be and we will arrange it with you before you leave.
What happens if something goes wrong after I fly home?
Message us. In most cases a photo and a description are enough for us to tell you whether it is normal settling or something that needs attention, and we will speak to your dentist at home directly if that helps. This is also why we plan conservatively for short trips: we would rather do less while you are here than send you home with something half-finished and 8,000 km away from us.
How do I know the clinic is hygienic?
Fair question, and the one most visitors are too polite to ask. Instruments are heat-sterilised in an autoclave between every patient, anything that can be single-use is single-use, and the surgery is wiped down between appointments. You are welcome to ask to see the sterilisation area before you sit down. Our Google reviews mention the cleanliness more often than any other single thing.
How do I pay, and can I use a card?
We take cash, UPI, and credit and debit cards. You pay for treatment as it happens rather than everything upfront, and we will tell you at the consultation how the payments are staged across your visits.
I’m here for a month on a yoga or ayurveda course. Is that better?
Much better, and long-stay visitors are some of our easiest patients to treat. A month comfortably covers things a fortnight cannot: aligner starts, implant planning, staged crown work, or simply spacing appointments around your course timetable instead of squeezing them into a holiday.
